Welcome to Organic Coffee Facts
Organic instant coffee often has many organic gourmet coffee attributes
Organic instant coffee offers us the benefits of regular organic coffee with the advantage of saving time when we are in a hurry and don’t have time to brew a pot of regular organic coffee from scratch.
It also allows us the opportunity to savor some of our favorite varieties and blends with the same ethical and emotional satisfaction we would have when drinking brewed regular organic coffee.
As with regular organic coffee, organic instant coffee is often marketed by organizations that are also dedicated to fair trade organic coffee practices and who also sell only certified organic coffee whether instant, roasted and ground, roasted beans, or green beans.
Nor is the instant variety lacking in the attributes of the brewed version. Here’s a description of a Cafedirect product: “Organic Medium Roast instant coffee from Cafédirect is everything you ever wanted in an instant coffee. Stylish, stimulating, with golden tones and lots of rich aroma. This coffee truly can deliver: it has a robust, leather and fruit intensity, and a decent balance. Drink it early and late. Make the day more mellow Decaffeinated using a natural carbon dioxide method that gently removes the caffeine without impairing the mellow flavours and rich aroma.
Certified organic by the Soil Association. Grown to organic standards without the use of fertilizers or pesticides.” Source: Greenol Website http://www.greenol.co.uk/products/B444P.php
Producers take just as much pride in organic decaffeinated coffee as in regular organic coffee. For example:
“Mount Hagen instant organic freeze-dried coffee was the first certified organic instant coffee in the world. This coffee has special appeal for those interested in organic coffee with the convenience of an instant. It's great for travelers, campers, and small households.”
“Made from 100% arabica beans, Mount Hagen is shade grown at higher elevations which produces a naturally flavorful, yet mild taste. One 3.53 oz. jar yields approximately 60 generous cups of delicious coffee. Source: Internatural Foods” http://www.internaturalfoods.com/MountHagen/MountHagen.html
